Why sand sculpture?
Sand sculpture breaks normal thought patterns and opens up new perspectives on ourselves, on life, on control, relaxation and consumerism. When we hold on to something very tightly - nothing new can enter. There is stagnation and hence despair. It is precisely the agreement to release, to let go of fears, of the future, of what will be, that allows the natural movement of life to exist. Space is made available for new movement, fresh energy, laughter, joy, vitality and presence with what is.
To sculpt in sand is to agree to lose and to process, through working with a material that we loved as children and distanced ourselves from as adults.
Why sand sculpture?
1. An experiential, creative, fun and enriching workshop on the beach.
2. Creating sand sculptures according to the chosen theme, divided into groups.
3. A creative process that combines curiosity, thinking outside the box, collaboration, positive communication,
Strengthening the sense of belonging and improving teamwork.
4. Using dance sculpture as a tool for direct communication, for explosive creativity
And for innovative and unusual ideas regarding cognitive processes that occur in ordinary conversation.
5. A consolidating process that connects team members with each other, and between them and the entire group.
Why sand sculpture?
We will gather on the beach and briefly talk about the goals and the chosen topic.
Depending on the size of the group and the sculpting themes chosen by the team, the group will be divided into small groups/pairs that will work together.
I will demonstrate several sand sculpting techniques and distribute tools.
Each group will create its own sculpture, through a joint process of formulating an idea and executing it.
In conclusion, each group/pair will present their creation while processing the experience they went through.
Proposed workshop framework:
Workshop time : approximately two hours
The date will be determined depending on weather conditions.
Required accessories : umbrellas, mats/chairs/hats (responsibility of the guests)
My responsibility: tools for sand sculpting
The length of the workshop and the sculptural content can be adjusted to suit the needs of the group/organization.
Number of participants: 10-50 in one activity.
The cost of the workshop depends on the required activity and the size of the group (an adjusted price quote will be submitted for each application).

My name is Marganit Erez, a multidisciplinary artist, exhibiting in exhibitions in Israel and abroad. I also lead sand sculpture workshops for education, teaching, and therapy teams with many years of experience in the field.
I believe that sand sculpting on the beach allows every person of any age the freedom to be, create, play, express themselves, be curious, think creatively, step outside the box and connect with the healing power of nature in an open and enabling space, alongside an empowering experience of shared creation with one's coworkers. The experience allows one to experience the gift of liberation and relaxation alongside deepening the relationship within the educational institution.
